Equipt had a story to tell and needed a new way to tell it. As a premier dealer of overlanding and adventure travel products, a simple email newsletter or Facebook post wasn’t going to cut it.
Equipt’s owner, Paul May, lives and embodies the lifestyle he sells. His travels and taste for adventure have taken him across the globe. Whether it’s exploring the jungles of Central America or on safari in the wild bush of Africa, Paul knows first hand about quality gear and what to look for.
However, Equipt needed a unique way to translate those rich experiences into something his customers, and future customers, could appreciate and understand.
Enter The Sojournal.
The Sojournal is an interactive digital magazine featuring beautiful imagery and in-depth content. Through this platform, Equipt is able to bring to life their travels as well as inform and educate the consumer on the brands they represent and sell. Instead of a static PDF, The Sojournal immerses the reader deep into the experience with slideshows, embedded videos, and social sharing features.
We work closely with Paul to create and publish The Sojournal. By capitalizing on the great photography and content he already owns, we craft his message and deliver it through a medium that does more than generate page views – it creates sales! On average, when Equipt publishes a new edition and notifies their readers through an email blast, over 90% of the list reads The Sojournal within the first 48 hours of publication.
